I felt it necessary to address the issue of fraying. 

Manufacturers and sellers will tell you that fraying is, the nature of silk, due to your beard, "it just happens", etc.

You may be told to trim with scissors or use a lighter to singe the frays. Although singe does work, I find these methods and the whole issue of fraying unacceptable. Vintage bow ties did not fray and silk should not fray.

Extra measures have been taken to prevent fraying but it does happen.  I will not ask you to trim the bow tie, to singe the edges or do anything else.  I will ask you to let me know.  A pre-paid return envelope will be sent and you can request a refund or replace the bow tie.
